Life’s Little Pick-Me-Ups

I think we could all use what I call some of Life’s Little Pick-Me-Ups right about now – I know I could.  Here are a few little trinkets and thoughts that hopefully will help “get you through the day” and help get you through some of life’s little challenges… whatever you are going through… you are not alone.  All of us go through challenges and dilemmas in various ways, circumstances and in different times in our lives!  I hope this will encourage you to keep on going!  And hold on…..sometimes for me all it takes is to hear or read small uplifting words of wisdom or inspiration to give me hope for a brighter day.

“Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.”  (Helen Keller)

I especially love this one below.  Thank goodness God is always by our side and there for us… even when we don’t feel His presence:

“When you get to your wits end, you will find, God lives there.”  (Author Unknown)

Sometimes we think we are the only ones who have made mistakes.  Certainly not true!  I have made my fair share of mistakes, and through them – there always seems to be one of those little “life lessons” in them whether I like it or not!
“If you have made mistakes, there is always another chance for you.  You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing we call ‘failure’ is not the falling down, but the staying down.”  (Mary Pickford)

I love this one…. How often do we tell ourselves, I can’t take anymore – I have  “come to the end of my rope”!  Well, here’s a tip if you feel that way:

“When you come to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on.”  (Franklin D. Roosevelt)

I think this one below is for those of us that wake up and feel so miserable we can’t get out of bed.  For those occasions, I am delighted that I sleep on my back!

“When life knocks you down, try to land on your back.  Because if you can look up, you can get up.”  (Les Brown)

Don’t quit now!  It is often hope for a better moment, a better hour, a better day that makes us take one small step forward.  Hope is what keeps us moving in the right direction.

“Hope is important because it can make the present moment less difficult to bear. If we believe that tomorrow will be better, we can bear a hardship today.”  (Thich Nhat Hanh)

Be blessed!
